We turn high-quality grapes to first-class wines. A short maceration and long storage on the yeast are the basic principles of our winemaking.

We’re using a three tier quality system. Bodenschätze is the basic quality, above that we have Bodenschätze single vineyard and at the top is Bodenschätze Maximum.

Around our village we have four very different types of soil: gravel, slate, clay and sandstone. These different areas allow us to find the right soil for each wine, helping to strenghten aromatic and mineral components of our wines. We grow Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Silvaner, Scheurebe, Sauvignon Blanc and Gewürztraminer on these soils.

SINGLE VINEYARDOur single vineyards are: Wallhäuser Johannisberg, Wallhäuser Felseneck and Sommerlocher Steinrossel. We only grow Riesling there and don't blend them with other vineyards. A Riesling reflects the soil like no other grape, especially the mineral components are well presented in its taste.

MAXIMUMThe name of our highest quality level is Maximum. Due to a reduction of yield to a minimum, we get a maximum of quality. Only the best and well matured grapes are good enough to become Maximum wines.
Our wines can be found in well-stocked wine shops. If you are interested in our wines, please check our list of sellers. You should be able to find a seller close to you.
